Last night's dinner by my masterchef hubby. The best sambal ayam I have ever tasted, telur dadar bawang + cili and also steamed  bak choy, cauliflower and brocolli smeared with oyster sauce. Nyumssssss!

July is special for me :)

Hey peeps!

Sorry for not updating for a while. Been busy juggling life and work (yeah.. yeah.. the usual).

My boy turns 11 months a couple days ago. *sigh* Time does fly very fast I suppose. He's a big boy now with 2 teeth already yeay!

And at the end of this month he'll be one year old. Oh emm geee dah besar anak mommy!

The month of July will always be special to me; first there's my birthday (yup, am gonna become a year older tomorrow), then there's our wedding anniversary on the 10th July (which reminds me I have yet to buy anniversary present for Encek K, still don't know what to get him though), and then there's little Miqa's birthday at the end of the month which is on the 30th. 3 big events in one month. I love u July!!

Last night Encek K managed to surprise me with a cake for my birthday. Terkejut mak nokss! Wasn't expecting it coming at all. Dahla pakai comot je coz konon-konon nak pegi makan sate. Sekali ada surprise la. Thank youuuuu dear Encek K ku sayang. You never missed to surprise me with a cake eversince we got together (since zaman boipren girlpren dulu pun ada surprise kek tiap2 tahun for me). Thank you so much sayang :))

 

 

And errrr the last part... jeng jeng jenggg... the presentsssss..  got one of my dream bag as 'hadiah melahirkan Miqa' (so, for next baby buleh kah saya dapat beg Chanel pulak??) And iPhone4s as my birthday + anniversary gift. I was happy beyond words. Thank you for the things buttttttt more importantly thank you for being a great husband and a great father. Looking forward to grow old with you along with many more handbags maybe? *kidding*

BF tapi NENEN kecik?

Please bare with the title of this entry.. Nanti korang tau kenapa tajuk entry ini di namakan sebegini.

Alhamdulillah.. Miqa has turned 7months already.. And so far I am still breastfeeding Miqa until today.. Had to top up formula milk 3-4 times already (ran out of EBM while at work).. Sometimes Miqa will take the formula milk, sometimes he refuses to take it (sampai baling-baling botol tunjuk perasaan)..

Anywaysss, this past 7 months, I have been receiving the same comment(s) from about 5 people. Serius semua pun komen benda yang sama..

Apakah komen itu? Jeng.. jeng.. jeng..

Eh NENEN (b**bs) awak kecik, ada ke susu? OR macam mana susu banyak tapi NENEN kecik??

First time kena komen macam ni masa kat kampung Encek K, yang paling kelakar nenek Encek K yang komen macam ni (kami panggil nenek=Wan). Masa tu Wan dukung Miqa; and then Miqa started crying, memang dah time menyusu dah time tu.. Selamba je Wan cakap depan2 semua sedara mara:

"Nah, poie kat omak, poie nyusu dah, tapi ado ko susu ni, nenen kocik jo Wan nengok" (slang Kuala Pilah please)

Alaaaahaaiiiiiii... Time ni takde cakap pape pun, sebab rasa kelakar bila Wan cakap camtu and tak ambil hati pun sebab memang tau nenen ku ini kecil (besar sket la lepas pregnant ni, dulu lagi kecik).. hahahahahhaa..

After masuk kerja, ada lagi dua, tiga orang tegur benda yang sama.. A few of my close friends pun say the same thing.. Errmmm sometimes tak tau nak re-act macam mana to this comment, tapi so far memang takde terasa pun.. Coz, semua pun tanya dengan niat yang baik, siap tanya tips nak banyakkan susu lagi.

Pengajarannya di sini, b**bs kecik tak semestinya tak banyak susu, b**bs besar tak semestinya banyak susu jugak.

Setakat ni, susu untuk Miqa memang cukup, takdela melimpah-ruah. Some tips yang I amalkan untuk banyakkan/maintain susu, everyday mesti minum two mugs of Milo, 1 mug of Anlene milk and makan nasik+lauk dalam kuantiti sederhana, kalau kurang minum or makan memang susu kurang sikit. Other than that, I juga minum air rebusan red dates/kurma merah. Memang takde ambil apa-apa supplement pun so far.

And yes, memang breastfeeding sangat-sangat challenging especially for first time moms. Kena banyak-banyak sabar and kuatkan semangat. Try not to give up yeah! You can do it mommies!

Miqa kasik chance kat daddy and mummy berjimba lagi. Yeayy! Tunggula Miqa besar sikit kan.. Confirm takde chance dah, for sure Miqa wants to follow where ever daddy and mummy goes.

Anyhoot, me and Encek K FINALLY got the chance to visit Universal Studios in Singapore (like FINALLY la kan, semua orang dah pergi, kitorang baru terhegeh-hegeh). Encek K's company organized company trip to Singapore during Chinese New Year; so off we go! At first we wanted to bring Miqa along, but after discussing and thinking thoroughly we decided to leave him behind (sob..sob..); bukan apa, dok thinking of the super hot weather there, sangat tak sesuai for a 5 month old baby.

We arrived in Singapore on 21st January and went to USS on 22nd January (Sunday). That time dah bajet dah for sure ramai gilaaa orang coz it's a Sunday (durhh) plus the following week was a long public holiday for Singapore and Malaysia.

And we were right of course. Arrived at USS at 9am, car park almost full. At 10am we entered USS and yup the crowd was crazy but still manageable. The longest queue was for Transformers 3D Ride, we had to queue for 45 minutes, but the queue was held indoor with airconds and fans to keep us cool, so no complaint there I guess :) But for sure the 45 minutes queue was worth every minute. Transformers 3D memang super duper best (we vote it's the best ride in USS!)

The next best ones would be the crazy-bad-ass roller-coaster. Me dah taubat selepas naik "Human roller-coaster". You see, Encek K is 190cm tall and whom ever is taller than 184cm has HAS TO SEAT AT THE VERY FRONT SEAT! Maka saya pun terjebak sekali, duduk paling depan sekali time naik roller-coaster ni. Tuhan sahaja yang tahu perasaan duduk di depan sekali. My face expression was priceless actually (read: ketakutan yang menggila, terus tak jadi beli gambar atas roller-coaster yang berharga SGD18 tu). So terus taubat nak naik the second roller-coaster; "Cylon roller-coaster". Again, supertall Encek K had to seat on the first row (nasib baik tak naik roller-coaster ni).

The rest of the rides were so easy-breazy after the roller-coaster. We managed to catch up on every ride except the ones in The Mummy and Jurassic Park. Kesimpulannya, sangat best USS ni. And yup, lucky tak bawak Miqa coz it was really hot that day. Tips nak pergi USS, please wear light clothing, flat shoes (I cannot understand how people can wear high heels here, pakai flats pun nak tercabut kaki dah), sunblock and sunglasses. Bawak botol air mineral pun ok, coz there's water fountain everywhere for you to re-fill your bottle :)
